I know, I know.
It’s been almost a month (or even longer, I think) since I’ve last updated BUT I do have very good reasons for why I’ve not been as active! First of all, school. I’ve been juggling my school work, org work, and other duties altogether. Second, I’m preparing for something amazing that’s happening next month (which I will reveal very soon)! Lastly, finals week (for me, at least) is coming up and I’ve been incredibly busy.
The reason why I decided to post now, though? I’ve missed writing for myself — and actually just finished watching a movie with one of my best friends, Nicole; it’s called Stuck in Love and it was released 2012. It’s easily one of my new favorite movies because the protagonists are writers so it pretty much inspired me to take a break and write again!
Before I start talking about the second part of the blog, which you can already tell from the title (hint: Color Manila Run), I would just like to share my recap from February!

Anywho, on to the second part of the blog post – Color Manila Run!
Earlier this month, on the 6th of March, my best friend Courtney and I went to Color Manila Run for the first time! Imagine this: colored powder, awesome music, running / walking, obstacle courses, and lots of laughs!

The night before, she slept over at my house (but we didn’t sleep oops) where we caught up and played loads of board games and card games (she studies in a different university). We left my house at 3 in the morning (!!) to make it to Mall of Asia by 4 in the morning, which was the call time. What surprised us was that there were so many people already at wee hours in the morning (also that from my house in Valenzuela City to Pasay City – it took around 30 to 40 minutes only)! While waiting for the fun run to start, we went around the booths and hoarded on free samples and freebies (most of them were sun screen, which I was happy about since two of my favorite brands – Daylong and Biorè were there)!

Finally, at 6 in the morning, the fun run began! It started off with the 10k runners, followed by the 5k, and the 3k for last – which we were a part of. We waited for our turn patiently and when the horn blew, we went for it!

The colors were all so crazy and at the end of the run, I was covered in blues mostly! Luckily, there was a pay shower / bathroom in Mall of Asia (it’s hidden hehe) so we took a bath there and went on with today’s adventure!

We ate lunch at Kimono Ken and went to the next activity of the day – skating! I was so nervous since it was my first time to skate (by the way, I was able to wash…most colors off myself. Thank goodness I was wearing a long sleeved sweater and leggings) whereas Courtney has lots of experience in skating already!

After skating, we went to Cookie Dream for a quick snack (this was also on my ‘to-eat’ checklist) and boy – I was not disappointed!

An ice cream cookie sandwich was the best way to end the day!

Wow! This is actually one of the longest posts in the blog! I do hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing about it! 🙂 Comment down below recommendations on what we should do next! I was thinking of going to the Masungi Georeserve next what do you guys think? 🙂
Until next time! (I’ll probably post again either at the end of this month OR next month)!

I’ve wanted to try a Colour Run for ages but didn’t get around to it yet, it looks so fun, but messy!

You should try it just for the experience of it! 🙂 It’s really fun but really messy as the colors take a long time to wash off / fade from your body BUT it’s worth it!
